Events TACL is Supporting This Fall
Don’t miss Yorktown Arts Foundation’s fall fundraiser, “5x5.” This event is made possible by the donation of small works of art created by regional artists. It all happens at On the Hill Art Gallery, 402 Main Street, Yorktown. There is still time to create your 5x5(x5) masterpiece! Pick up your blank 5x5 canvas at the gallery or you may create other works — jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, etc. — that do not exceed 5x5 in dimension, or may be attached to a 5x5 canvas. This year, in addition to member artist works, a limited grouping of “Select Artists’ Works”, by influential artists including Joe Miller, aka “Cheap Joe” will be offered. Learn more at http://onthehillgallery.com/ .
The Williamsburg Book Festival takes place in the Williamsburg Stryker Building on Saturday, October 7, and is part of An Occasion for the Arts. The festival includes more than 40 regionally and nationally renowned authors, discussions for writers, readers, artists, book club members, plus meet four Virginia Poet Laureates. This is a free event.
